The House System

From the ancient Gurukuls to modern schools, the concept of student groups or β€œhouses” has been central to holistic education. In the Gurukul system, students lived, learned, and grew together under the guidance of their mentors, fostering discipline, responsibility, and camaraderie. This approach encouraged not only academic learning but also moral development, physical well-being, and social interaction. Today, the House System carries forward this tradition, providing students with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and resilience while engaging in healthy competition and collaborative activities.

House System at DBPASN

At Dr. B. P. Agrawal Shiksha Niketan, the House System is deeply embedded in the life of our students. It is designed to nurture leadership, responsibility, and a sense of community, while giving students avenues to explore their talents in academics, arts, sports, and cultural activities. The houses play a key role in maintaining discipline, organizing assemblies and celebrations, and ensuring active student participation in school life.

Objectives of the House System

The House System at DBPASN aims to provide every student with:

  • A strong sense of belonging within the school community
  • Opportunities to develop leadership and responsibility
  • Positive role models among peers
  • Achievement and recognition beyond academics
  • Encouragement for curiosity, creativity, and innovation
  • Enhancement of communication skills, flexibility, and resilience
  • Promotion of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition
Our Four Houses

To channelize these objectives effectively, the school has four houses, each named after a great luminary whose pioneering spirit continues to inspire generations. Each house embodies the qualities and values of its patron, guiding students to explore their strengths, cultivate talents, and contribute meaningfully to the school community.
