Picnic-Lakh Bahosi Bird Sanctuary

23.12.2018, Sunday
“Play is our Brain’s favourite way of learning”.

The word “PICNIC” is enough to bring smiles on the cherubic faces of students who just want to get away from the confines of the classroom and run free with the wind in their hair. So it was no surprise to see students from classes 1st to 7th of the school scream with delight when their picnic date was announced.

The students were taken for a class picnic to Lakh Bahosi Pakshi Vihar, Kannauj on 23rd December. With their bags packed with games, food and a lot more, the children were very happy and excited to go for the picnic. They started at 9.30 am in the morning with prayer and a feeling of a great day ahead. The students were extremely excited and kept singing songs in the vans till they reached the venue.

On reaching the Bird Sanctuary, the children were welcomed by the staff of the Vihar, and they were amazed to see the well-maintained museum related to migratory birds where they were explained about the migratory birds and other important information by the in-charge of the museum. A show was also shown to students with the help of projector which the students and the teachers liked a lot. Thereafter, the students enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. The nature-walk helped them to observe different types of water animals all around them.

It was a pleasure to see students playing in gay abandon after tucking into the yummy preparations made by their parents. Equally important, it was heartening to see youngsters picking up wrappers and throwing them into dustbins, leaving the place clean and tidy. The day was well spent enjoying, singing and interacting with each other. They played different games like skipping, kho-kho, badminton etc., and enjoyed swings and rides. They also participated in the various games, which were especially organized for them by their teachers at the venue, followed by enjoying refreshment provided by the school.

Picnics are indeed a source of recreation to the mind and body as well as instill the principles of sharing, teamwork, social interaction, regulation and discipline among students. The visit to the park was a memorable one and it motivated the students to take care of their environment and to maintain cleanliness around them. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone came back to the school, tired but joyous and rejuvenated at the end of the day. The happy smiles on the students’ faces were a proof of the fun filled day spent at the Bird Sanctuary.

National Unity Day

31.10.2018, Wednesday

On 31st October, the School celebrated the Birthday of one of the Indian greatest leader Lauhpurush Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel as National Unity Day. This day (also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) is celebrated every year on 31st of October by the people all through India. It is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the leader who really unified the country.

To mark the occasion, the school organized a Prabhat Pheri in the town area Kamalganj. It started from CHC and covering all the main areas of the town culminated near the railway station. The students raised various slogans to highlight the importance of unity--kashmir ho ya Gohati, Apna desh apni mati; Jati panti ke bandhan chhodo, Dil se dil ka rishta jodo, Kashmir ho ya kanyakumari, Bharat Mata ek hamari etc.

It was a feast to watch even tiny tots sitting inside the vans shouting slogans in full volume with enthusiasm. The people appreciated the endeavour of the school and encouraged the students in their effort to raise the importance of the unity among various casts, races, religions, classes and persons.

After the Prabhat Pheri, a floral tribute was given to the Sardar Patel and pledge was administered to students and staff that they would always upheld the unity and integrity of India at any cost.
